Aurora is a captivating work that uses plastic to create a three-dimensional composition that evokes a flower in full bloom. Carefully crumpled and layered plastic layers in shades ranging from pink to purple with golden chips create an illusion of depth and movement. This choice of material, often perceived as cold and durable, is here transformed to suggest an ephemeral delicacy.
I skillfully plays with textures and colors, capturing light in an almost translucent way, which reinforces the poetic dimension of the work. The neutral background highlights the central “flower”, accentuating its relief and inviting attentive contemplation.
